"Fresh, healthful groceries in a bustling yet leisurely marketplace" characterizes Sinshih Market's offerings. Shoppers are first greeted by the eye-catching logo at its entrance, which is adorned with lampposts in the shape of white wax apples－a locally-sourced fruit. The market is known for its great ventilation, quality lighting, cleanliness and an unobstructed view of the premises. The aisles are installed with electric fans. Atop the stalls are elevated atomizers that spray fine mists to keep shoppers comfortable even in the stifling heat. Free Wi-Fi is also available in the lounge area. Sinshih was tapped as the location for "Markets Up Close," a mini-documentary on Taiwan's traditional grocery markets, written and directed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Central Region Office.
